The SRMA provides manufacturers with the tools they need to increase productivity and growth through peer-to-peer connections and knowledge sharing, matching needs with resource experts, building talent pipelines by connecting them with educators and students, and providing a collective and unified voice through advocacy.

- Representing manufacturers on the state and local legislative issues that impact our businesses and bottom lines, including:
- The elimination of sales tax on equipment for manufacturers
- Working towards the repeal of the Tangible Personal Property Tax
- Working towards a Buy Florida Act
- Promoting the repeal of sales tax on commercial leases (Decreased in 2024 from 5.5% to 2%!)
- Building a collective understanding of manufacturing and its importance in the community.
- Provide resources, including data, events and media outreach to amplify our voice.
- Focus on the differentiators, i.e. higher average wage than most leading industries, including tourism and retail.
- Workforce Initiatives
- Offering open enrollment and private training classes to upskill your staff (i.e. Leadership training, Lean Six Sigma certifications, etc.)
- Working closely with our K-12 schools, and local colleges to promote career awareness and create training programs that will prepare graduates for careers in manufacturing.
- Orchestrate manufacturers involvement with the various educational entities.
